About Us
The Bruxism Association is a not-for-profit organisation registered with the Department of Trade and Industry.
We are committed to helping all those who suffer from Bruxism.
The Bruxism Association was established in 2008 by The British Snoring & Sleep Apnoea Association in response to an increasing number of enquiries from bruxists asking us to help them resolve their problem. Many bruxists have tried conventional treatments such as stress reduction, hypnotherapy and even acupuncture, but these methods are rarely successful. In recent years Mandibular Advancement Devices (MADs) which are predominantly used for the treatment of snoring and sleep apnoea, have been used to very good effect. In fact many bruxists use our Tomed SomnoGuard AP. However, MAD treatment is not suitable for everybody.
In view of this we have concentrated our efforts into finding a treatment that will suit all bruxists. We are pleased to introduce a new range of occlusal splints which have all the qualities of providing a safe and effective treatment.
The Directors of The Bruxism Association are members of The British Society of Dental Sleep Medicine, The Royal Society of Medicine, the British Thoracic Society, and the British Sleep Society.
The SleepRight mouth-guards are the only occlusal splints approved by the British Dental Health Foundation.
